The Mini Warriors hockey program is designed to teach basic hockey skills while integrating fun into both practices and games. Primary emphasis is on teaching hockey skating skills and puck handling through a variety of drills. The Mini Warriors program will divide the players by skill level and age into either the basic (lowest skill level) or advanced (higher skill level and age). The philosophy behind this program is that by teaching these young players the correct skating fundamentals and puck handling skills in an organized, progressive series of drills in a fun filled environment, they will be better prepared for the next level of hockey.
If you have a child that wants to be a Mini Warrior and he or she is between the ages of 3 and 8, please contact Craig Montgomery, Hockey Director for the Winterhurst Hockey Association. Craig can be reached at 877-816-1220, ext. 2228 or by email at
