Ballard Cheer Takes Third @ State!

In spite of last minute injuries that triggered reworking the routine three days before competition, Ballard placed third amongst very strong competitors.

If you missed the competition at the Everett Event Center, check out the State Comp 2010 video of the cheer squad's great routine. The squad faced sharp competition, placing 5th in state overall by score! Congrats to all the team members, JV, coaches and our parents and community who support the squad. Maintaining Ballard's standard of excellence, consistently placing top three in state for six years running!

Rock & Roll Marathon

BHS squad members cheered on half marathon runners at the inagural Rock & Roll Marathon
on Saturday, June 27th near the finish at Qwest field.

Race for the Cure

Ballard Cheer combined with Juanita to create the "Cheer 4 the Cure" team in support of the coach NancyEllen Elster and coach Andrea Snyder of Juanita two cancer survivors who were featured on King 5 News for their heartwarming stories in two segments this year ("Survivor brings her own cheer squad to Race for the Cure" and "Thousands race for the Cure") as a follow up to a feature about NancyEllen's story last year ("Cheer 4 the Cure Team Story").
