posted 11/20/2009 Most of you may be familiar with the Marc DiNardo story. He was a Jersey City Detective who wounded in the line of duty and passed away five days later on July 21, 2009. He was only 37 years old. He left behind a wife and 3 young children. Needless to say, the family has had a very difficult time with coping, both emotionally and financially.
His colleagues, of which there are many, have organized a great event on the family’s behalf. If you like hockey, or even if you don’t, this is a great way to provide your family with quality entertainment while helping the DiNardo family as well.
There will be a benefit hockey game with the JC Police taking on the NJ Devil’s Alum on Sunday December 13th at 3pm at the Prudential Center. Tickets are $20
2nd event is a Devils-Senators game on Friday December 18th 7pm that you can purchase tickets to at a premium discount with a % going to the DiNardo Fund. $56 tickets will be sold for $35.
Please call 551 795 1775 or email
for more info. You can find the flyer on our Document link on our menu.

posted 11/01/2009 Lake Placid NY.
Our Midget 18 team took home a Bronze Medal at Can Am this weekend going 3-2 against tough competition. The Rangers were led by Timmy Balance's 6 points, (2nd leading scorer in the division) and strong defense of Frank Grisanzio and Joe Ditomasso. Although these players are mentioned it was a total team effort for coach Scotty Ericksons' gritty club as every player stepped up and contributed to the effort.
While our 2 midget 16 teams didnt fare as well, the parents and players had a great time from the bus ride to Lake Placid to the bus ride home! Alot of players made their 1st visit to Lake Placid and for those returning to the USA hockey cathedral, playing in the 1980 rink is always special.

| | Bayonne House League Players and Coaches | | | The Bayonne Hockey Association Inc. has devoted a great deal of energy to improving and expanding the developmental programs offered at the Korpi Ice Rink and that devotion has paid off. As you know from recent announcement our house league is more popular than ever. Its companion Learn to Play Hockey Clinic on Saturday mornings has also been booming. And, the Sunday morning Learn to Skate Program has had over 100 skaters on the ice each of the last two weeks. Thanks go out to all you for helping spread the word.
| | | | by james patrick flynn posted 08/31/2009 The Bayonne Ranger Mite through Bantam teams have all been accepted to compete in the Congressional Cup Thanksgiving Tournament in Reston, Virginia from November 27-29, 2009. This is the sixth season that Advanced Tournaments has presented The Congressional Cup Tournament series, which includes the Thanksgiving tournament as well as others throughout the year. The Congressional Cup has provided teams and their families with a great opportunity to enjoy the unparalleled sightseeing opportunities of the WashingtonDC area combined with the best tournament facilities and experience possible. Congressional Cup tournaments will be held in the Western Suburb of Reston, VA, close to Washington Dulles Aiport, at SkateQuest, Reston and the Ashburn Ice House.
Bayonne had several teams compete in this tournament during the 2007 Thanksgiving holiday, and its Peewee team came away with a championship. The professionally run tournament has a four-game minimum for each competing team, a personalized tournament memento for each player, individual and team awards for 1st and 2nd place teams, a Most Valuable Player award in each division, and digital action photographers available at all games, to instantly capture tournament memories. Additionally, the teams all stay with a short drive of WashingtonDC and all that it has to offer, including the Lincoln Memorial, the Viet Nam Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Air & Space Museum and the new hot spot—The International Spy Museum.
Hotel accommodations are done through the tournament, and you will be asked shortly to provide information concerning your rooming needs. At that time you will also be asked for information concerning the personalized team member mementos. Once this information is compiled, it is submitted to the tournament, and our rooms as a group are booked at quality hotels such as Marriott, Hilton, Embassy Suites or the like.
Stay tuned for further information in the near future concerning tournaments for later in the year.
