About Us
The Bear Creek Girls Softball Program is part of the premier Girls Softball League of Jefferson County, Colorado. The Program was organized in 1975. Dorothy Holzkamp was the first Director of 5 Bear Creek Girls Softball teams. Bear Creeks’ first championship team was the 11 year-old Oilers in 1980 coached by Dave Spencer. Since that time the Program has grown to include both recreational and competitive A and B teams between the ages of 4 and 19 years old. Several of the competitive teams have won state and regional championships and played in national competition. Some players have received college scholarships to play softball at Division 1 and 2 schools.
