The 11th Annual FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY INVITATIONAL 2010 is located at
GERMAIN Arena in Estero, Florida. GERMAIN Arena is located directly between Ft. Myers and
Naples, in beautiful Southwest Florida. The facility has three ice rinks, one seating 7,100 for the
ECHL Florida Everblades. The facility is twelve years in existence. Overlooking the arena is
Breakaways Sports Pub, which allows you to eat while watching tournament play.
At the same time and in the same facility as the FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY
INVITATIONAL the NCAA Division I FLORIDA COLLEGE CLASSIC will take place. Teams include
Maine, Cornell, Miami University, and St Cloud State. The College tournament is December 29 & 30.
Tickets are available for the youth teams and are included in the price of the tournament!
The FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY INVITATIONAL is for teams that are looking for
the best competition possible. This tournament has Mite – Midget Major A & AA levels. This
tournament has featured 84 teams making it the largest ever in the Southeast District. Having a
4 game guarantee makes the trip worth it. The tournament markets for out of state teams. The
winners of the tournament receive an automatic invitation next year to defend the trophy.
Southwest Florida’s beaches are fifteen minutes from the rink. The hotels are within ten
minutes of the arena and the beach. The Southwest Florida International Airport is two exits from
the arena. The arena is located along side of highway I-75. Next to the arena is Florida’s largest
outlet mall the Miramar Outlets. Airboat trips in the Everglades or Fishing Charters can be taken in
during your time off between games. And of course golfing is nearby.
The FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY INVITATIONAL is December 27 – 31. Mite, Squirt,
and Peewee divisions will be December 27 – 29. Bantam, Midget Minor, and Midget Major will be
December 29 – 31. Teams must have home and away jerseys, one light and one dark. The
tournament will be played with USA Hockey rules. You must submit an USA Hockey Roster signed
by your local USA Hockey Registrar at the tournament registration table before playing the first
game. Canadian teams must submit a signed roster from their local affiliate. Unfortunately special
scheduling request can not be accepted. The tournament sold out by October 1st last year. The
only way to guarantee your spot is by sending in the registration form with full payment.
Do not delay!
Thank you,
Dave Kessel
