House Basketball Spring 2020 Girls Clinic

Haley Smith Basketball, also known as Herndon Optimist Youth House Basketball (HOYHB), is a member sports league of the Herndon Optimist Club of Herndon, Virginia. We are a recreational, developmental league.

Player Eligibility

  • All girls in grades 2 thru 8 for the 2019-2020 school year are eligible to participate in our girls basketball clinic, provided they have one season of prior experience playing basketball.
  • There are no geographic or school attendance restrictions
  • The number of players able to register for the clinic is dependent on the number of coaches we have available to run the clinic. Once we reach our maximum number of players per coach, additional players will be waitlisted.

Clinic Schedule

Clinic sessions will be held March 16 - June 15 on Mondays and Thursdays between 5:30-7:30pm at Herndon Elementary School. Players may register to attend one or both sessions per week.

Player Fees

Registration Fee: $100 (Multi-Player Family Fee: $90 for 2nd player; $80 for 3rd player)

Registration Fees cover the cost of equipment for coaches and the gym, county gym use fees, and sports league insurance. All the coaches and league board members are unpaid volunteers.

No uniform is required. Players should wear clothing appropriate for exercise and sneakers, and bring a water bottle to each session (water only; sports drinks and food are not allowed in the gym).  Players do not need to bring a basketball - the coach will have enough basketballs for the players.

Players and their parent will be required to sign a Code of Conduct. Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in player and/or parent being dismissed from the program with no refund of fees. For more information on the league's Code of Conduct, click HERE to access the Code of Conduct Agreement.
